Description

Seventeen year old Hajime Nagumo is your average, everyday otaku. However, his simple life of pulling all-nighters and sleeping in school is suddenly turned upside down when he, along with the rest of his class, is summoned to a fantasy world! They're treated like heroes and tasked with the duty of saving the human race from utter extinction. But what should have been any otaku's wet dream quickly turns into Hajime's nightmare. While the rest of his class are blessed with godlike powers, Hajime's job, Synergist, only has a single transmutation skill. Ridiculed and bullied by his classmates for being weak, he soon finds himself in despair. Will he be able to survive in this dangerous world of monsters and demons with only a glorified blacksmith's level of strength?

  • A very good book

This is, to me, a very interesting twist on the “summoned to another world” type of story. Even though it is about twice the size of your average light novel, I read it in one day. Looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

They butchered the anime, but the book is surprisingly well-written. Arifureta's world brings page-turning events that will leave you aching for more as the plot unfolds.

Wanna get this out and say this is my first novel I read and I genuinely loved it!!! This novel gave a lot of detail about the two main characters in the book , overall the plot is good and there wasn’t a bit of vague sentences. I loved the growth of Hajime and the story. I’m definitely picking up the 2nd novel!!

Have never read a light novel in my life and much less of a reader. After watching the first episode of the anime and being dissatisfied by the lack of explanation in it, I decided to read the LN. To my surprise, this book was absolute awesome and fun to read. Would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome Isekai adventure. 10/10

The first chapter (introduction) was slow but needed explanation of how it all started, but this book is amazing! I seen first two episodes of the anime and was like this is my next series to read. From the start of dungeon crawling, to last sentence, this is the Best book I have ever read. Well done!

Honestly, I am the kind of person who tries a story before I get it, but this is one of those books that I just looked at and fell for on the spot. Drama, heartache, anger, happiness. These are some of the emotions that I felt just reading the plying thing, especially once I realized that there's a reference to Yogi Bear in it for the happy part. In summary, read it. I did and if I didn't have work to do I would be reading the next volume instead of leaving a review.

It starts with a generic concept and while it is quite boring to read the first chapter it sets up the characters perfectly. You develop respect and hate at the same time. Then you believe Hajime will be praised for figuring out how to use his skills wisely. Nope. He is betrayer and you're taken along with his pain and suffering and his struggle to survive.
  • Starts slow, ends phenomenal

As I stated before, it doesn't start off well. In fact, it is kind of boring. But once the first chapter ends, you can tell the author really starts to unleash their creative juices! In short, if you start reading and don't think it'll be for you... keep going. I promise you will love it!
